Reputation
An effort should always be made to maintain a good reputation in all activities.
Accuracy
All work shall be carried out with the utmost accuracy and diligence.
At the forefront
The Cancer Registry staff monitors novelty in epidemiology and cancer registration. The highest quality work procedures should be pursued in all areas.
Distribution of information
All distribution of information from the Cancer Registry should be elaborate, accurate, clear and fulfil the required licenses. All information delivered from the Registry should be carefully reviewed, whether or not the content is posted on the Cancer Registry website, delivered to the media, healthcare professionals or individuals. All disclosure shall be recorded.
Communication
E-mail should not be used for the delivery of sensitive personal data.
Leaving the Registry area
Make sure that computers are locked when leaving the Registry area
Personal identifiable data
All employees sign a confidentiality statement regarding the processing of personal data. Paper data must be stored in a locked fire-resistant storage room. They can be left for a short time in a locked working room.
Password - access card
The Cancer Registry area is closed and access controlled with use of access card. Employees are responsible for their access cards.
Security manual
Employees should familiarize themselves with the Cancer Registry's Safety Manual and follow its provisions.
Penalties
Those who threaten the safety of the Cancer Registry can expect lawsuit or other appropriate legal action.
