Every second Wednesday each month at 5 pm, a support group for women who speak English- or Polish meet at the Cancer Society's building Skógarhlíð 8, 105 Reykjavík. The group is intended for women who have been diagnosed with cancer and could benefit from meeting other women with similar experience.

If you have been diagnosed with cancer, or even one of your family members or friends, you are welcome to join the group

The purpose is to support, share experiences and encourage each other.

Studies have shown that those individuals who participate in support groups often feel better and experience an increased quality of life. They are more likely to have more hope and are more determined to tackle the challenge.

The group has a Facebook group: Cancer Support group for English or polish speaking women

The Cancer Society offers individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer and their relatives, individual support in the form of interviews. The support is given by nurses and psychologists. The service is open from Mondays to Thursdays from 9-16 and on Fridays from 9-14. You are welcome to contact us if you think you are in need for support. The service is free.
